Skyline Yurt is a one-of-a-kind luxury getaway nestled in the tranquil serenity of the mountains. Here, you won't find any compromises with respect to the top-notch cabin-like structure, modern amenities, a hot tub, wood-burning stove, archery, EV charger, spacious elevated deck, pool table, board games, and so much more! This magnificent pet-friendly Skyline Cabin / Yurt is surrounded by the captivating scenery of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of over 1,100 ft! The space

Skyline Yurt is a custom wooden yurt located only 13 miles (20 minutes) away from the entrance to famous Skyline Drive, which sits along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park. Constructed using the finest materials and significant attention to detail, this space will invite you and your family and friends to immediately make yourselves at home. Furnished with plenty of modern conveniences, the Skyline Cabin / Yurt sets out to provide a unique experience offering comforts akin to those of a chic boutique hotel. Embrace your inner yogi with a morning routine on the large deck, or soak in the outdoor hot tub under a starry night sky—the choice is yours! We also offer an EV charging station for those in need, as our property was built with the environment in mind.

Skyline Yurt is best suited to accommodate four (4) people, with two (2) bedrooms featuring queen-size beds. The property can, however, sleep up to eight (8) people thanks to a king-size sleeper sofa in the loft (classified as a bedroom due to a privacy screen) and a spacious sleeper couch in the sitting area. For your convenience, linens, sleeping eye masks, earplugs, an iron, and umbrellas are all provided.

Along with these features, the property has a dependable climate control system, wood-burning stove, hot tub, WiFi (which is slow and sporadic due to the property’s rural location, but we are on the Starlink waiting list to ensure future improvement), and a smart TV with Disney Plus and Netflix. We also have smart speakers, a designated workspace, pool table, PlayStation 5 with four controllers, and an assortment of board games.

The yurt features a full kitchen with an island, dining table, cookware, utensils, refrigerator with an icemaker, dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, multicooker/rice maker, and a Nespresso coffee machine! You'll have everything you need to carry out your morning and evening routines, as well as wine glasses for your wine and cheese afternoon happy hour!

With respect to design, the Skyline Cabin / Yurt has a loft with a pool table, a living area with an open floor plan and vaulted ceilings, windows with expansive views, and a glass dome. For your convenience, a washer/dryer combo unit is situated on the main floor.

The spacious deck features a picnic table, gas grill pre-filled with propane, and a sunken 7-person hot tub. The outdoor area also boasts a fire pit, cornhole game, and archery stand. All amenities, including the Lever 2 EV charging and a 40-pound traditional Kainokai recurve longbow with arrows for archery practice, are free to use.

We respectfully request that guests remove their shoes before entering the yurt to help keep the space nice and clean.

House access

Guests will enjoy access to the entire home with the exception of the basement. A full welcome guide with house rules and area information is provided after booking.

IMPORTANT:

Due to its location in the woods, a wide range of animals share our environment—including possibly a few bears. To prevent insect infestations, guests should properly clean the kitchen every night and securely package all food. PLEASE AVOID LEAVING FOOD OR TRASH OUTSIDE, AS THIS WILL ATTRACT WILD ANIMALS.

Cell service

Due to its distant, rural setting, Skyline Yurt may have spotty cell service.

Access/driving conditions

We strongly advise using a four-wheel-drive vehicle with chains when it is snowing. Due to the property's remote location and related towing expenses, please respect this recommendation. Before making a reservation, please be aware that we do not provide refunds or accept cancellations due to inclement weather.

Property cameras

Cameras are located outside to help ensure guest safety. However, please know that there are no cameras inside the yurt or in the hot tub area for your privacy.

Property capacity and guest restrictions

Only guests included in the booking record are allowed on the premises, and violations of this rule will result in the immediate eviction of all visitors without a refund. Therefore, it is important to include the correct number of guests in the reservation, so please update accordingly if that number changes after your initial booking. The number of guests is strictly limited to 8, requiring that 4 people sleep on sleeper sofas.

Parties, events, and outside visitors

All are permitted, but loud music is not allowed, and all visitors must depart the property by 10pm. Please note that the person who books the reservation is responsible for any damage incurred from outside visitors.

Pets

Pets are permitted in or around the property with a $50 fee and pre-approval. Please send us a message including a photo, age, and relevant details for your pet(s), knowing that all four-legged friends must be well-trained.

Illegal substances and activities

Illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction from the property. Guests agree that any drug use or any use of the property in any unlawful purpose or violation of any law or ordinance on or about the property will immediately terminate the occupancy and serve as grounds for immediate eviction. Guests shall be liable for any and all costs incurred by the host, and a refund will not be provided for the remaining balance of the stay.

Property quiet hours

Our property quiet hours of 10pm to 7am are dictated by county ordinance and enforced by local police. If law enforcement responds to a noise complaint, every individual on the property may face a misdemeanor criminal charge and be subject to a county fine of $250. Failure to abide by the county noise ordinance will result in the immediate termination of the stay without a refund.

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are NEVER allowed inside or anywhere outside the house. A $500/day penalty will be incurred if any sign or smell of smoke is present following guest check out.

No fireworks

Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the grounds, and guests who violate this rule will be required to vacate the property without a refund and face subsequent fines.

Additional cleaning fees

At the sole discretion of the host, an additional cleaning fee of $90 will be incurred if additional clean-up is required that rises above the standard cleaning process.

Damage payments

Any damage to property or furnishings that exceeds the deposit amount will be billed to the guest and reported to Airbnb.

Pass-along fee

If a guest violates Airbnb house rules and thereby triggers a refund/discount for the next guest scheduled to visit the property, the offending party will be responsible for any loss of income incurred by the host.

Trash

A garbage bin enclosure is located outside the yurt. Please leave all trash bags inside the trash bins, and always ensure the garbage bin enclosure is properly locked. Due to abundant wildlife, absolutely no trash should be left anywhere outside.

Waiver of liability for use of archery

Guests acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the bow. Guests voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, or death which may arise from the use of the bows. By using the archery guests agree to follow all house rules associated with it and release the host from all liability relating to injuries that may occur while using the archery, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence. Archery rules and instructions will be provided in the welcome packet after the reservation is complete. Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the archery or equipment.

Waiver of liability for use of hot tub

The guests agree to use extreme caution and care in the hot tub on the premises and to pay any and all repair charges for damage to the hot tub and/or property caused by the guests. Guests further agree that everyone using a hot tub will shower and clean feet upon the use of the hot tub.

Furthermore, the agreement is made that NO oils, bubble bath, soaps, other liquids, or any other harmful materials will be used in the hot tub.

No glass products whatsoever are allowed in or around the hot tub. If any items such as soaps, bath products, food, alcohol, etc. are found in the tub, the guest will be charged a cleaning fee of $200.

Damage to a hot tub cover will result in a $400 charge. The cover should remain on the hot tub at all times when not in use. Guests agree that there will be no horseplay in the hot tub as well as not to sit on, jump on, or misuse the hot tub cover in any manner.

Guests acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the hot tub. Guests voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, death, personal injury, or property damage that may arise from the use of the hot tub. By using the hot tub guests agree to follow all house rules associated with it and release the host/property owner from any and all claims, liability, or losses whatsoever arising out of or in any way associated with the guests’ use of the hot tub, including but not limited to death, personal injury, or property damage, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.

By completing this online reservation, you are confirming that you read and agree to the terms, rules, and conditions listed above and all other policies outlined in this listing.

PLEASE BE ADVISED:

• The yurt is CHILD-FRIENDLY, BUT NOT CHILDPROOF. Please watch your kids!
• If at all possible, we will try to accommodate early arrivals or late checkouts, each for a $50 fee. Early Arrival is 2pm, and Late Checkout is 1pm.
